Mrs. Maude E. Allard Herman of 1225 Central Blvd died in Texas Health Care Center. A native of Elliott, Iowa, she was born January 4, 1888 in Elliott, Montgomery County, Iowa to George Washington Allard and Emma Elizabeth Reid. She married Amil Herman. To them was born one child Glen Elwyn Herman. She had been a Brownville resident for 36 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Amel Herman in 1945. She died December 18, 1975 in Brownville, Cameron County, Texas and is buried in the buena Vista Burial Park.
Survivors include her son, Glen Herman of Brownville, a brother Carl Allard of Long Valley, South Dakota, a sister, Mrs. Alice Ripoll of Monterey, California, two grandchildren, Elwyn Herman of Brownville and Mrs. Robert (Mary Myrtle) Jackson of Bridgewater, New Jersey, and five great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Buena Vista with burial in Buena Vista Burial Park. Rev. Ed Robertson officiated. Darling-Mouser Funeral Home was in charge of services.
