Services for Mrs. Elizabeth Theressa Boozer, lifelong resident of the Carolina community, were held January 22, 1961 in New Chapel Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. She was 80. She died January 21 in the Tupelo Community Hospital after an illness of three months. She was a member of Carolina Methodist Church and was married in 1903 to Willie Bob Boozer, who died in 1956.
Survivors included a son, Calvin Boozer of Amory; five daughters, Miss Kathleen Boozer, Mrs. S. A. Ritter, Mrs. J. L. Shumpert and Mrs. Ralph Barber of Nettleton, and Mrs. A. D. Wiygul of Amory; one sister, Mrs. L. E. Conwill of Tupelo; seven grandchildren.
