Monday at 11:30 o'clock this dear consecrated mother was laid away in her earthly resting place in the Red Hill cemetery, where she had lived a number of years.
Nine children, six sons and three daughters and one sister are left to mourn her death. These children are Mrs. Annie Alvis, John Ball, Arthur Ball, Bob Ball, Shellie Ball, Vinnie and Minnie, the twins, all of Opelika and Tom Ball of Alto, Abb Ball of Noonday and her sister Mrs. Bettie Hill of Alabama. Also a host of friends.
Mrs. Ball served her Master for a number of years, being a member of the Methodist church. She was a kind and loving mother and an affectionate wife. She was called upon to endure many hardships, privations and sufferings but she bore them bravely, striving to rear her children in the fear and favor of Him for whom she was toiling and indeed today those children rise up to call her blessed.
One year ago her husband departed from this earthly life, leaving her with only three children, the twins and a deaf and mute boy.
We mourn for her yet we are happy in the knowledge that no longer does she have to bear the burdens of this weary life, that she is with Christ, and to be with Him is gain.
