Harold Bruhjell 1924-1988

Harold Ruben Bruhjell, age 64, passed away at the Fargo Veterans Hospital on Saturday, June 4, 1988. Harold was born in Gonvick, Minnesota on June 3, 1924 to parents Ole and Inga Bruhjell. He has spent his entire life in the Gonvick area except while serving in World War II in the U. S. Navy. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at Samhold Lutheran Church. He was a member of Samhold Lutheran and the Gonvick American Legion Post. His marriage to Lauraine Monty took place in Perley, Minnesota on January 19, 1951. He is survived by his wife Lauraine; two brothers Adolph and Irvin of Duluth; one sister Dora Sorenson of Gonvick and several nieces and nephews.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 7, 1988 in the Samhold Lutheran Church of Gonvick. The Rev. Richard Lafer will officiate and Military Honors were by the Gonvick American Legion Post in Gonvick. Burial was in the Samhold Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of the Cease Funeral Home of Bagley.
