Mary Alice Baus, 90, of St. Cloud died peacefully Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mount Calvary.
She was born November 10, 1920 to the late Phillip & Clara (Mihm) Abler.
She married the love of her life, John "Jack" Baus on September 1, 1941. She was Jack's best fishing partner, and he considered her to be his best catch ever. They enjoyed life together for 66years.
Mary Alice was a member of St. Isidore Parish: St. Cloud Church, Christian Women's Society, the St. Cloud Homemakers, Tree Farmers Association and the St. Cloud American Legion Auxiliary.
She will be greatly missed by her ten children, Vernon (Kathy) Baus of Sheboygan, William (Rosie) and Thomas (Marlene) Baus both of St. Cloud, Kathryn (Jack) Schafer of Union Grove, Philip (Darlyn) Baus of Vancouver, WA, Stephen (Evelyn) Baus of Columbus, WI, Claudia (John) Wagner and Marion (Michael) Manderscheid both of Malone, Susan (Rich Sharples) Cramer of Boulder, CO and George (Brenda) Baus of Kimberly; 36 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Doris (Joe) Eiring of Kiel, Phyllis (Cyril) Ausloos of Mount Calvary, and Donna Mae (Frank) Ditter of St. Cloud and a sister-in-law, Verna Eggebeen of Plymouth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; three grandchildren, Michael and Louise Manderscheid and Claire Cramer; three brothers, Stanley, Sylvester, and Gordon Abler; and two sisters, Vera Baus and Ruth Calvey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 20, 2010, at St. Isidore Parish, St. Cloud Church, 924 Main Street in St. Cloud. Rev. Steven Kropp OFM Cap. will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Cloud Catholic Cemetery.
