Former Resident in Accident at Horicon
Theodore D. Pape, 25, (photo) son of Mr. and Mrs. A.F. Pape of 1317 South Eighth street, was fatally injured in an automobile accident Saturday night on highway 28, between Mayville and Horicon. He died Sunday morning in a Beaver Dam hospital.
Mr. Pape's car collided head on with a milk truck on the highway, the report of traffic officers said. His car was wrecked.
Mr. Pape left Manitowoc about two years ago to work in Horicon and had been making his home in Iron Ridge with his wife, the former Helen Budahn. They were married in April, 1949.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Iron Ridge.
Survivors are the wife; parents; eight sisters (Namess omitted for privacy.)
Mr. Pape was born in Manitowoc in 1925 and graduated from the Lutheran high school in New Ulm, Minn. He was drafted and served in the navy four years. Before leaving for Horicon he was employed in the circulation department of the Manitowoc Herald-Times.
