CAMP CREEK - Pauline Ann Meadows Lilly, 86, of Stovall Ridge Road, Camp Creek, died Tuesday, January 4, 2011 in a Roanoke Virginia Hospital.

Born August 11, 1924 on Stovall Ridge near Camp Creek, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Vance Meadows and Myrtle Jane Meadows.

Mrs. Lilly's father died at a very early age after she was born. Her mother then married Ivan Meadows, who helped to raised her as his own.

Mrs. Lilly was a faithful member of the Stovall Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. She was a faithful and devoted wife, a loving and caring mother, and her grandchildren held the key to her heart.

Mrs. Lilly loved to take care of her family, especially cooking and canning.

In addition to her parents and stepfather, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Ronda Bailey Lilly; along with three brothers, Albert, Hubert and Eldridge Meadows.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Kent Lilly of Stovall Ridge; two sons, Martin Kent Lilly and wife Tamra Lyn, Kolan Vance Lilly; four grandchildren, Kelley Lilly and Kaleb Lilly, Kolan Vance Bailey Lilly and Anna Grace Lilly, all of Camp Creek; siblings, Athaline Jilek and husband Jim of Jacksonville, Fla., Virginia Howe of Milton, Fla., Launa Bowling and husband Carl of Arlington Heights, Ill., Velma Burton and husband Jack of Fairmont, Juanita Smith and husband Raymond of Nellysford, Va., Ronnie Meadows and wife Mary of Camp Creek; two sisters-in-law, Polly Wile and Kitty Wise.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 7, 2011 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Cleve Allen officiating.
Burial will follow in the Jennings Cemetery on Stovall Ridge Road near Camp Creek.

Friends are invited to visit with the family today, Thursday, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Her family will serve as pallbearers.
