He is survived by his wife, Dorothy C., whom he married 49 years ago in Syracuse. The couple would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Jan. 28, which is also Mr. Behnke's birthday.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Carol Deibler of Richfield, Conn., and Jackalyn Dolasinski of North Syracuse; two brothers, Charles of Pitcher Hill and Robert of Clay; four sisters, Anna Reed of Southwood, Marie Fisk of Pennellville, Marge Smith of North Syracuse and Norma Santy of Westvale; a grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sears-Middleton Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt. ...
