Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elsie Bragg, 76, of Abraham, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel with the Rev. Elmo Alderman in charge. Burial will follow in the Goodson Cemetery at Abraham.
Mrs. Bragg died at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday in Summers County hospital after a long illness. Her husband, Willie Bragg, died in August 1973.
She was born August 10, 1899, in Abraham, a daughter of the late Abraham and Lena Goodson Plumley. She was a lifelong resident of Abraham and was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Eldridge of Jumping Branch, and Ralph of Shady Spring; three daughters, Mrs. Neda Bragg of Hyattsville, Md., Mrs. Eva Wilbur of Columbia, S.C., and mrs. Vella Harper of Baltimore, Md.; two brothers, Grover Plumley of Fayette and Delbert Plumley of Abraham; three sisters, Mrs. Zella Adkins of Abraham, Mrs. ora Irvine of Montgomery and Mrs. Ocie Wright of Helen; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Thursday.
