Services for Betty Jo LaCaze, age 86, will be held on Friday, January 28, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the Hope Presbyterian Church of Opelousas, La., followed by interment in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. Dirk Andrepont will conduct the services.
Mrs. LaCaze, a resident of Opelousas, La., passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas, La.
Betty Jo was the leading collector for the March of Dimes for the State of Louisiana and volunteered at Opelousas General Hospital for 20 years. She was also a Sunday school teacher and active in the Hope Presbyterian Church of Opelousas.
She is survived by her husband, Cecil G. LaCaze of Opelousas, La.; her sons, Mike LaCaze and spouse, Nancy, of Durant, Oklahoma; Joe LaCaze and spouse, Patty, of Opelousas, La.; Nakia LaCaze of New Orleans, La.; her daughters, Marti Beard of Lake Charles, La.; Terri Case and spouse, Steve, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; her brother, Jackie Broussard and spouse, Jo, of Pollack, La. and her sister, Margie Ensminger of Lafayette, La. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Stafford and Mabel Broussard and her brother, Johnny Broussard.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Hope Presbyterian Church of Opelousas on Friday, January 28, 2011, from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
