Obituary: WEBSTER, Stanley
Born January 31, 1937 in Red Bluff CA and passed away following a long illness, on January 24, 2011, surrounded by his daughters and grandson. Stanley was raised in Red Bluff and moved to the S.F. Bay area to work at the GM Plants in the late 1950's. He worked for GM for 32 years in Oakland, Fremont and Oklahoma City, Ok. Upon his retirement, he returned to California in 1987 and settled in Sacramento. He was active in the Congress of California Seniors and enjoyed researching genealogy and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Genevieve, his parents Joseph and Vera, brothers Alan, Don and his sister Evelyn. He is survived by his daughters Kathy Diaz, Carrie Dunne, Judy Parker and Anna Hoerz and brother Stephen Webster of Bakersfield and sister Maxine Brustick of Sperry OK. Stanley is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:0 pm on Friday, January 28, 2011, at the East Lawn Elk Grove Mortuary Chapel 9189 E Stockton Blvd in Elk Grove. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the UC Davis Hospice Program 3630 Business Dr. Sacramento, CA 95620.
