Minnie Lee Brown Tierce was one of twelve children born to Charley Marvin Brown (1881-1941) and Emma Catherine (Hice) Brown (1893-1951) on Mar 23, 1912 at Paris, Logan County, Arkansas. The family moved to Oklahoma in 1929 and Minnie married Glen Tierce at Eufaula, McIntosh County, Oklahoma on Dec 21, 1932. They first relocated to the area south of Harrisburg in Linn Co., Oregon, where Glen farmed the land, along with his younger brother, Stanley Allen Tierce. Stanley joined the U S Army in November, 1941. Glen and Minnie moved one last time to the Aumsville area of Oregon and bought a farm which Glen successfully worked and where he and Minnie raised their two daughters, Glenda Katherine and Brenda Joyce "Joy". Glenda married Frank Wayne Blair in 1951 and they had three children, Terry, Mickey and Janet. Joy also married and had children. Minnie was a lively woman, full of energy, who took much joy in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a religious woman, true to her faith. She was always busy as a farmer's wife and devoted to Glen. She was devastated when he died in June, 1976, and never really recovered from his loss, even though her daughter Glenda, and granddaughters cared for her as best they could. She passed away on Jan 28, 2003. I know she joined him in Paradise where they are together with Loved Ones forever, including their daughter, Joy, and grandsons, Terry Wayne and Mickey Lee Blair.
