Mrs. Pauline Hausauer died last Saturday at her home in this village from the effects of a stroke. Her health had been failing for about a week but she had been seriously ill only a week. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Steinhaus and she was born at Mosel, Wis., on February 16, 1855, having attained the age of 87 years at the time of her death. Her maiden name was Pauline Steinhaus.
Her marriage to Henry Hausauer took place in Waseca on April 5, 1881. He preceded her in death but she is survived by one sister, Mrs. Minna Bergner of Sheboygan, Wis. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church and was always a faithful member and church worker.
Funeral services were held Sept. 30 at 1:30 p. m., at the home and at 2 from St. Peter's Lutheran church with Rev. L. C. Leikhauf officiating, assisted by Rev. E. C. Schultz. Burial was in St. Peter's cemetery and the following acted as pall bearers: Wm. Lange, Will. Laudert, Carl Weckwerth, Wm. Echternach, Arthur Klessig and Daniel Weckwerth.
