Benjamin Harrison was the son of Richard Harrison (per his wife's gravestone and of "Benjamine Harrison of R" per the 1870 census). He married Miranda AKA Marinda at unknown date.

On the 1850 Dist. 3, Calvert Co., Maryland, census, I found farmer & planter Benjn Harrison, 51, with $6K in real estate; Marinda, 45; Hester A, 18; Benjn F, 16; Margaret, 14; Joseph Edward, 12; Louisa, 8; Norvel, 4; Christiana, 2 and Richard, 13, all Maryland, born. Nearby was a James Harrison, 60 with a Benjn, 7.

On the 1860 Dist. 3, Calvert Co., Maryland, census, I found farmer & planter, Benjamin Harrison, 57, with $15K in real estate; Miranda, 53; farmer Joseph, 21; Newell, 14; Christine, 12 and Louisa, 17, all Maryland, born. He lived near suspect son(s): Benjamin Harrison 25, with $1K in personal property; Ellen, 23; Lewis, 5; Emily, 3; Emma, 1, farmer Richard, 23 with $1K in personal property; farmer William, 18 with $1K in personal property; Ben, 16 and laborers, all Maryland, born. Also nearby (few lines up page) with farm labor with a Wm T Harrison, 4 and Ida R Harrison, 2, possibly cared for. (Note: They lived near Daniel Hardesty, 49 and his family who lived in Huntingtown, on or near Cox Road where the Robert Harrison family lived for generations).

On the 1870 Dist. 3, Prince Frederick P.O., Calvert Co., Maryland, census, I found farm labor Benjamine Harrison of R, 68, with $6K in real estate; Marinda, 65; Christiana, 21 and Joseph, 22; plus a domestic and her 2 children, all Maryland, born. Nearby (previous page) Wm T Harrison, 65 and his family resided.

His wife died three years earlier on 18 Jan 1877. SEEK both her and Benjamin's obituaries.

About four years after he passed, the former church at this cemetery was renamed: "Around 1870, the southern Methodists left Manor Woods to meet in a blacksmith shop and in member's homes. In 1873 this congregation erected a building called Calvary on Hunting Creek Road, at the site of our present church. In 1884, the Manor Woods Church was renamed MIRANDA MEMORIAL, in honor of MIRANDA HARRISON, whose son gave a large memorial window to the church... The Miranda building was dismantled and donated to another congregation" in Pennsylvania. Per Huntingtown United Methodist Church (.com) and the History of Huntingtown United Methodist Church. Note: understand all the former church records disappeared.
