Son of George W. and Anna Benner Glase. Clinton (he usually went by Clint) moved to Elkhart, Indiana as a young man and changed the spelling of his last name from Glase to Glace because people mispronounced it "Glaze." He married Grace G. Hostetler on June 26, 1909 in Elkhart. Clint worked for the railroad as an inspector and as a machinist. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
