Mary Regina Bruner was born 13 Mar 1910 in Kansas City, Wyandotte County, Kansas; one of six children born to George Henry and Regina (Bader) Bruner.

Mary was united in marriage 09 Jun 1926 in Leavenworth to John "Vernon" Hitchcock, son of John Adrian and Martha Elizabeth (Higgins) Hitchcock.

Mary and Vernon were the parents of two children: Robert Lee and John Vernon Hitchcock, Jr.

The marriage did not last and Vernon left the family and moved to California. Mary obtained a divorce and was united in marriage 07 Apr 1934 in Kansas City to James "Lynn" Robinson; son of Samuel Crawford and 2nd wife Lucy Jane (Spradlin) Robinson.

Lynn had two children from his previous marriage to Emma "Ruth" Hannan: Robert Andrew and Betty Jane. Mary and Lynn added two more children to the mix: James (Jim) Lynn and Mary Louise. Lynn was a father to all and raised the younger boys as his own.

Mary was a hard worker and dedicated to her family. She completed a course in cosmetology and earned a certificate in 1937 from the Stewart Beauty Academy in Kansas City. In addition to this, she dipped chocolates for Stover Candies. She often told of working the late shift and then sleeping on the office sofa of Mrs. Stover before going on to her next job. Mary retired from The Jones Store where she was a top sales person in the home furnishings department.

Lynn passed away in 1959 after a long illness. Mary spent her widowed years working and pursuing her dreams of travel. She visited many countries and shared stories and memorabilia with her grandchildren.

Later in life Mary developed Alzheimer's and spent her remaining years at Royal Terrace Nursing Home in Olathe, Kansas.

Mary passed away 18 Nov 1999 and was laid to rest next to Lynn in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Kansas City.
