George Henry Bruner was born 06 Sep 1886 in Wichita, Sedgwick, Kansas; the son of Henry and Mary Ann (Belsker) Bruner.

Word of mouth in the family is that the father, Henry Bruner, was a riverboat captain. Henry died from pneumonia or typhoid fever when George was just 9 months old and is buried in the Wichita, Sedgwick, Kansas area. His father was Amish from the Pennsylvania area and Henry was disowned by his family and came West.

George Henry's mother remarried to Joseph H. Ernst who raised him. They also had two more sons, half brothers to George.

George was united in marriage to Regina Bader; daughter of Ottmar and Anna (Maier) Bader.

George and Regina (or Mom and Pop as the family knew them) were the parents of six children:

George and Regina were at one time Sextons for the Woodlawn Cemetery in Kansas City. They lived in the home that was in the midst of the cemetery, and their grandsons mowed the property.

George (Pop) passed away 01 Jul 1967 in Kansas City, Wyandotte, Kansas and is laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Kansas City, Wyandotte, Kansas.

Regina (Mom) passed away 07 Aug 1982 in Turlock, Stanislaus, California. She is laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, Kansas City, Wyandotte County, Kansas next to her husband.
