Math T. Meyer, 83, of Park Lawn Home, formerly of Route 1, Valders, died Thursday morning, July 17, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9:45 a.m. Saturday at Christianson-Deja Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Gregory Church, St. Nazianz. Rev. Cletus LaMee will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Meyer was born December 21, 1901, at St. Nazianz, son of the late Michael and Thersa Knier Meyer. He attended St. Gregory School and farmed in the Town of Centerville and was also employed by the Salvatorian Farms. He married Loretta Schneider on May 22, 1928, at Cleveland.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Norbert and Sarlene of Slinger; a daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Harold Mayer of Route 1, Valders; a brother, Steve, of Manitowoc; three sisters, Agatha Heimann of Chilton, Marie Stein of School Hill and Hildegard Woelfel of New Holstein; a sister-in-law, Theckla Meyer of St. Nazianz; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, one grandchild, two brothers and one sister.
Friends may call at Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, St. Nazianz, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday where a parish rosary will be at 8 p.m.
