Elmer M. (Bud) Berg, Staples, MN passed away Monday morning October 11, 1965 following a heart attack a couple of months back, from which he was never able to make a recovery. He was 53 years old at the time of his death
Funeral services will be held in Staples Wednesday morning. Services in the Marion Lutheran Church will be held on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
The Elmer Berg family lived and farmed in the Meadow Lake area for a number of years before selling the farm land in Meadow Lake and Svea townships at which time they moved to a farm at Staples, MN where they have since made their home.
He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, Ruby (Wangrud) and three daughters and a son: Mrs. Norman (DeLette) Winkelman, Fargo, ND; Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Boom, Marion, ND; Mrs. Larry (Olga Mae) Epling, Gaston, OR and Roger Berg who is serving in the U. S. Marines.
There are 8 grandchildren, also sisters and brothers: Mrs. Leonard (Bertha) Boyer, Buxton, ND; Mrs. Theo. (Alice) Wheeler, Buxton, ND; Leonard Berg, Litchville, ND; Clifford Berg, Perley, MN; Albert H. Berg, Litchville; Mrs. Ralph (Anne) Hunt, Yakima, WA; Mrs. Bert (Helen) Manns, Montpelier, ND and Fred Berg, Deadwood, SD.
Burial: Bethlehem Cemetery
