Henderson Williams, c.s.a. (Founder of Pleasant Grove
Methodist Church-1858),
had wrote in his records(1893-1895), of his
brother, Joel's death, and their father, grandfather,
great-grandfather.
An ancestor of our family, on Henderson Williams' side,
Mrs. Clara Hatcher O'Brien Nesmith, wrote a book on the Williams Family,
Deep Roots and Strong Branches, published
in 1972, about the Samuel and Pilgrim Williams Families
of North Carolina.
