A native of Heywood County, N.C., she was a daughter of the late J. W. and Nettie Adams Best, a Baptist and was retired from self-employment.
Surviving are a son, George Kenneth Gardin of the home; four sisters - Ethel Turner of Spartanburg, Ruby Childers, Beulah Harris and Helen Jones, all of Gaffney; two brothers, Joe and Frank Best, both of Gaffney; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 3 p. m. at S. R. Holcombe Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Revs. Joseph Stover and Jack A. McClure with burial in the Gardin family cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The body will be at the residence and will be taken to the funeral chapel at 2 p. m. Saturday.
