Mrs. Beulah Woodrow Best Harris went home to her Lord on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Magnolias of Gaffney. Mrs. Harris was 93 years old and a former resident of Jolly Road in Gaffney.

Mrs. Harris was born December 17, 1917, daughter of the late Western Best and the late Nettie Adams Best. She was the wife of the late James C. Harris. A textile spooler, she retired from Milliken's Gaffney Manufacturing Plant, and attended Elm Street Church of God in Gaffney.

Mrs. Harris is survived by two daughters, Leslie H. Boone and Pamela H. Blanton, both of Gaffney, S.C.; two sons, Don E. Best of Atlanta, Ga. and James H. Harris of Aiken, S.C.; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Harris was preceded in death, in addition to her husband and parents, by four sisters, Daisy Gardin, Ruby Childers, Ethel B. Turner and Helen B. Jones; and five brothers, Arthur, Howard, Wallace, Joe and Frank Best.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Harris will be on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at 2:00 pm in the Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel, 211 East Frederick Street, Gaffney, S.C. , conducted by the Rev. James Garner and Mr. Jerry Mathis.

The family will receive friends at a daughter's home, the residence of Bill and Pamela Blanton, 154 Meadow-Wood Drive, in Gaffney, S.C.

Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family for the care of Mrs. Harris.
