The 1910 census for Portland Township, Cerro Gordo, Iowa reports that Wesley, age 17, was working as a servant in the household of Albert and Elizabeth Pribbenow. Elizabeth is Wesley's cousin, the daughter of Elizabeth Haehlen Berthold. He was actually working as a laborer on their farm.
Wesley married Inga Sophia Lauritson on January 4, 1917 in Valley City, North Dakota. They had two children: Newton David and Dorothy Mae.
The 1920 census shows Wesley as a minister in Valley City, North Dakota.
Inga passed away in 1956 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Wesley married several years later to Alice Mae Adams but he passed away in 1960 in Excelsior, Minnesota. Inga and Wesley are buried togther.
