He, his wife, and daughter, Mrs. Virginia Lorimer lost their lives when a fire destroyed the Lorimer home in New Milford, Conn.

Rev. George Lenington was a graduate of Illinois College.
He served for awhile in the Presbyterian Ministry in Brazil. Also served as minister at Hoopeston and Virginia and for a number of years was in charge of the Dutch Reformed Church at Staten Island, NY. Served as an Army Chaplain during WWI.
After he retired, he served on the board of the Dutch Reformed Church. He relocated to Caldwell, Texas for health reasons. After suffering a stroke in 1958, they moved to New Milford to reside with their daughter.

Survived by two sons: Robert E. Lenington of Chicago, IL, and Drury Lenington of Caldwell, Texas.
