He was born Feb. 8, 1916, at Oran, the son of William and Ada Taylor Black.
He and Mattie Elizabeth Williams were married Sept. 19, 1936. She died Sept. 13, 1990.
He was a retired service manager with Cooney Equipment Co. in Sikeston.
Survivors include a son, Darrell Black Jr.; a daughter, Wanda McMackins; two sister, Emma Arnold and Jessie Abernathy; three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and five great-step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, three sisters and a great-step-grandchild.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel here. Burial will be in the New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
