Gladys Mae Chappelear was born Jan. 25, 1913 at Gotebo and died in the Carnegie hospital Dec. 2, 1942. Gladys became ill when she was in the eighth grade of school, had been bedfast for over five years and lost her eyesight about four years ago.
She is survived by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. J.G. Chappelear; one sister, Mrs. Nancy A. Shields of the home; two brothers, W.D. Chappelear of Cloud Chief and Chester A. Chappelear of Sherman TX.
Services were held at the high school auditorium Tuesday afternoon with interment in the Gotebo Cemetery.
