The Carnegie Herald
Mason Attend Funeral
A very beautiful and impressive Masonic funeral service was held in the Christian church at Gotebo on last Sunday night a week ago. The service was held over the body of Charles Grant, 32, who was one of the members of the ground-breaking class at Guthrie last spring, and was conducted by the Most Worshipful Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Oklahoma, also secretary of the Consistory at Guthrie, Brother Frank Derr.
H.C. Jones, Morris Goodman, A.H. Mitchell and W.U. Griffith, thirty second degree members of the Carnegie lodge, accompanied by Mrs. H.C. Jones, went to Gotebo to attend the services. They made the trip in H.C.'s car, returning at 2 o'clock Monday morning.
The Gotebo church was entirely to small to accommodate the Brethren and friends of the deceased.
