He was united in marriage to Susan Virginia Perkins Feb. 3, 1876, who departed from this life Nov. 27, 1936.
To this union ten children were born, three of whom died in infancy. The living are namely Mrs. W. C. Courtney, Lincoln, Mo., Mrs. A. O. Rains, Chicago, Ill., John D. Moore, Portland, Oregon, Homer B. Moore, Macedonia, Iowa, Z. T. Moore, Mrs. Lamar O'Bryan and Mrs. Elizabeth Carr of Keytesville. Besides these he leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
He joined the Baptist church at an early age and lived a devoted Christian life. He was a devoted father and will be sadly missed by his children and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at two o'clock
