Age 88, died on Tuesday, November 16, 1993 at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah.
He was born June 20, 1905 in Orlando, Oklahoma, son of the late Charles and Anna (Sommers) Schaefer. He was married to Hilaria Willems on November 23, 1954 in Hollandtown.
He worked as a road supervisor for the Town of Brillion for 40 years retiring in 1969. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Brillion.
He is survived by his wife, Hilaria; a brother, Reuben Schaefer, Hilbert; three sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law; Nellie Schaefer, Kaukauna; Alvira Willems, Kaukauna; Malenia and Daniel Baumgart, De Pere. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and William.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 19, 1993 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Brillion with Rev. William O'Brien officiating.
Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Hollandtown.
Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home, Brillion from 4 until 9 p.m. on Thursday and again on Friday from 7:45 a.m. until 10 a.m. when family rites will be held. There will be a parish vigil at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
