Elaine D. Wiedermann, 83, a resident of Brownsville from 1924 until 2002, died on April 23, 2006 in Waltham, Mass., where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law J. Michael Mehl and Lawrence R. Mehl.

Mrs. Wiedermann born in Houston, was the daughter of the late Isadore and Dorothy Dorfman of Brownsville, the wife of the late Jean G. Wiedermann, and mother of the late Susan E. Wiedermann and the grandmother of Charles M. Mehl, of Waltham, Mass.

Mrs. Wiedermann attended the University of Texas at Austin where she was a member of Sigma Delta Tau sorority and later served as President of the Junior League of Brownsville, President of Palm Village Shopping Center and Managing Partner of Dorfman Properties.

Graveside services will be held at 9:30 am Wednesday, April 26, 2006 in the Hebrew Cemetery of Brownsville.
