Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Newton with Father Joe Molloy officiating. Burial will be in the Old St. Peter Cemetery in Newton. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton with a wake at 6:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the St. Thomas Catholic Church or Hospice of Lincolnland.
Schuch was born Aug. 12, 1922 in Newton, the daughter of Frank and Catherine (Ochs) Rubsam. She married John Schuch Sept. 12, 1945 in Newton.
She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, of Newton; four sons, Robert Schuch, of Indianapolis, Ind., Mark Schuch, Raymond Schuch and Martin (Joe) Schuch, all of Newton; two daughters, Joan Casteel, of Ogden, and Linda Schuch, of Jeffersonville, Ind.; four brothers, Paul Rubsam and Lawrence Rubsam, both of Newton; James Rubsam, of Owsnsboro, Ky., and Frank Rubsam, of Newton; four sisters, Florence Schafer, of Newton, Dorothy Kluge, of St. Louis, Mo., Sister Gertrude Ann Schuth, of Decatur, and Marcella Hartled, of Melbourne, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Schuch was preceded in death by a son and a sister.
