Mrs. Ed (Selma) Hoffmeyer, 91, a charter member of the Gerald United Church of Christ, died Sunday morning in West Rest Haven.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the United Church of Christ at Gerald, with Minister Otto Marshall officiating. Burial was in Closner Cemetry near West.

Mrs. Hoffmeyer was born in Germany and came to the United States with her parents when she was 5. She had lived in the West, Leroy, and Gerald communities all her life. She was one of the charter members of the former Evangelical and Reform Church, now the United Church of Christ of Gerald. She had lived in Waco five years.

Survivors include three sons, Alfred H. Hoffmeyer and Arthur A. Hoffmeyer, both of Tyler and Arnor Hoffmeyer of Elm Mott; two daughters, Mrs. D. A. (Dora) Davis of Waco, Mrs. Norman Morrow of Fort Worth; three sisters, Mrs. Frieda Boettger of Corpus Christi, Mrs. Bertha Jantz of Elm Mott, and Mrs. Lottie Jantz of Gerald; two brothers, Theodore Altus of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Walter Altus of Harlingen; twelve grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
