He was born April 16, 1913 in New Holstein, the son of John and Marie Leider Henschel. He began work at the Brillion Iron Works in 1942 and was employed there until recent years. He married Mary (Mayme) Wymboam on June 22, 1948.
Mr. Henschel was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hilbert, the Men’s Club of the church, and American Legion Becker-Bloedorn Post 126 in Brillion.
Surviving are his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Marcella Raschke and Mrs. Margie TeVrucht, both of Chilton, and three brothers, John and William, both of New Holstein and Henry of Chilton. A brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Monday at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hilbert, with the Rev. C. A. Rathjen, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. (sic)
