Mrs. Parthena Frances Wilson, 68, widow of John Wilson, died at 4:30 o'clock yesterday morning at her home, 2912 South Madison street, after an extended illness. She had been a resident of Muncie for 35 years, coming here from Elliott County, Ky. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Church of God.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Lulu Chaney of Irving, Ky., Mrs. Dorothy Powers of Mount Sterling, Ky., Mrs. Verna Empey and Mrs. Estella Everett, both of Muncie; five sons, Lee A., Homer R., Jesse D., and Harold D., all of Muncie, and James E. Wilson of Detroit, Mich.; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Conn of Selma, Mrs. Myrtle Huxhold of Eaton, Mrs. Nora McDowell and Mrs. Corda Dance, both of Muncie; four brothers, Hiram Davis, Dan Davis, and John Davis, all of this city, and James Davis of Gaston; 32 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be conducted at the Piepho funeral home at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, the Rev. Dave Fisher of Dunkirk, in charge. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the residence after noon Thursday or at the funeral home one hour preceding the service.
