A Noble Woman Gone
---------------------
Willamena Abel was born in Germany August 31, 1828. She emigrated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and was married to August Strübing on their farm south of Hicksville in 1864. She died last Thursday morning after a short Illness and was burried Sunday in the Hicksville cemetery. Her husband, Mr August Strübing, is very ill and on his account a pathetic service in German was held at the house by the Rev. Geo. Harter in the early morning before the family and a number of friends and, at 10:30 services at the Lutheran church.
Mrs. Strübing was one of those industrious women to whose united efforts the community is indebted for its prosperity and without labor like hers for a foundation the deeds of others would never gain prominence.
