Funeral services for Arvin Bloyd, 70, will be held Thursday, March 1 at 1 p.m. from the Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Tabor Best in charge. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Dennis Kessler, Homer Goff, Garnett Smith, Henry Jones, Clarence Bennett, and Frank Graves. Mr. Bloyd, son of the late John M. Bloyd and Nancy Jane Larimore Bloyd, was born February 25, 1886 in Green County, Ky. He died Monday, February 27 at 3:30 p.m. at the Rosary Hospital, following a cerebral hemorrhage. He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. He united in marriage to Bobby E. Money on April 12, 1925, who survives. Besides his wife, he is survived by three brothers and two sisters, Robert Bloyd, Route 1, Dave Bloyd, Route 1, Greensburg, Jim Bloyd, Campbellsville, and Mrs. Arthur Wilson and Mrs. Irene Blevins, Dayton, Ohio. ~The News-Journal, Thursday, March 1, 1956
