Mrs. Lily's maiden name was Johanna Fitzgibbons. She was born in the state of Ohio sixty-three years ago. When quite young she removed to the west with her parents, settling in Alton. Her marriage occurred in 1883.
She was the mother of five children, two of whom survive her, Mrs. Richard Conway, of St. Mary's and Miss Alice, who resides at home. She is also survived by her husband and two sisters, Miss Kate Fitzgibbons and Mrs. J. M. Moran.
Mrs. Lily was a good woman in every sense of the word, a woman who lived up to the standard of high ideals in home life and to the life that promotes the general good. She was devote in her faith, a kind mother and wife and a sincere friend. Her life was characterized by sincere purposes and good works.
The funeral occurred yesterday at nine o'clock at St. Ann's Catholic Church in this place, Rev. Father P. J. Fox, officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery.
We join in extending sympathy and condolence to the afflicted family.
