FULLERTON (CNS)--Ben J. Ainlay, 68, of Troy Kan., died October 3 in a St. Joseph, Mo., hospital after a long illness.

Graveside services were Saturday afternoon at Fullerton Cem. The Rev. James R. Hawthorne of the Fullerton Presbyterian church officiated.

Mr. Ainlay was born Jan. 17, 1911 at Belgrade to Benjamin Joseph and Mayme Garvin Ainlay. He attended school at Belgrade and served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He operated grain elevators in Troy and Wathene, Kan., until his retirement in 1965.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, the American Legion Post and Masonic Lodge at Troy, York Rite of St. Joseph and Washington Lodge of Atchisen. Kan.

Survivors include his widow, Doris: four daughters, Carolyn Ford of Wathena, Kan., Wendy Reynolds of Popular Bluffs, Mo., Patricia Barnes of Manhatten, Kan., and Pamela Blevins of White Cloud, Kan.; two sons, Navy Lt. Commander Jack Ainlay of Kailua, Hawaii and Bill Ainlay of Wathena; five sisters Lucilles McKilleip of Genoa, Marquerite Ainlay of Belgrade, Dorothy Whitehead of Monto, Wis., Elinor Kennedy of Covine, Calif., Helen Vogt of Bettendorf, Iowa and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Maxine Sanders of Fullerton
