Carl Junior Hylton, 69, of Marion, died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at his home.

He was a collector of old cars.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce Hylton of Marion; three daughters: Barbara Hazlewood of Stuart, Linda Dillon of Harkers Island, N.C., and Carla Hall of Marion; three sons: Jeff Hylton of Lawsonville, N.C., Michael Hylton of Cary, N.C., and Junior Hylton of Marion; four sisters: Willa Mae Shelton of Lawsonville, Henrietta Cassady of Hagerstown, Md., Lelia Rorrer of Stuart and Pina Nance of Sandy Ridge, N.C.; six brothers: Emmett Hylton of Bassett, Robert Hylton of Martinsville, Wesley Hylton of Sandy Ridge, Russell Hylton of Madison, N.C., Charles Hylton of Lawsonville and James Hylton of Madison; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild and his
ex-wife, Rebecca Martin Hylton of Sandy Ridge.

Funeral services were held Monday at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Rev. Paul Jones officiating. Graveside services were held Tuesday at Thomas Cemetery in Marion.
