MRS. M. WILL, A COUNTY PIONEER, DIES AT HOSPITAL
Mrs. Magdalene Will, 76, widow of the late William Will, passed away Sunday at St. Nicholas hospital, of dropsy of the heart and general debility. She had been in ill health for the past year and a patient at the hospital for the past two weeks. Mrs. Will was born February 13, 1843, in Germany and when four years old came to this country with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Adam Seipel, settling in the town of Meeme, Manitowoc county. Her father at the time operated a saw and grist mill. For 31 years the family lived on the old William Will homestead in town Herman. About ten years ago they moved to this city, residing here on Superior Avenue about five years. Since the death of her husband, three years ago, Mrs. Will made her home with some of her children in this and Manitowoc Counties, and when her condition two weeks ago became serious she was brought to the hospital here.
The survivors are three sons, Cornelius Will, Howards Grove; Andrew Will, Mellen; and John W. Will, this city; two daughters, Mrs. Gustave Olm, and Mrs. Fred Bergmann, Reedsville; two brothers, Andrew Seipel, Mellen, and Cornelius; California, and a sister, Mrs. Adam Stein, Meeme. A son, Joseph, died several years ago and there are also two step-children, Mrs. Anna Blank, Mellen, and William Will, Colby.
The funeral will be held Wednesday with a requiem mass at Holy Name church, the Rev. D. F. Thill officiating and the remains will be taken to Howards Grove and laid to rest in St. Joseph's cemetery.
