Mrs. Anna Sanderson Rye was born in Hollandale,Wisconsin on May,1,1864 and came to Iowa with her parents Mr. And Mrs. L.O. Sanderson, in June 1876, settling in the village of Fertile. The family moved to the Sanderson homestead in Cerro Gordo County, where she was married to G.A. Rye on November 27,1881. Mr Rye passed away seven years ago.
For 37 years Mr. and Mrs. Rye made their home on a farm near the village of Fertile. In 1917 they moved into Fertile
and she maintained a home until last spring, going to Forest City to reside with her son.
