Jackalyn Dolasinski, age 58 went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 after passing away peacefully at home with her loving husband, Ervin beside her.
She was born in Syracuse, NY on May 31, 1947, the second daughter of John and Dorothy Behnke. After her education in North Syracuse, NY schools, she went on to become a registered nurse, graduating from Jefferson County Community College, and the sisters of Mercy Nursing School in Watertown, NY in 1968.
Her career choice was a reflection of the love, compassion, and understanding of others; traits that she carried with her throughout her life. Those whose lives she touched will always remember her as a sensitive caring individual, yet strong willed and a fighter to the end.
She is survived by her husband, Ervin; Mother Dorothy Behnke; sister, Carol Deibler and her husband, Vincent; aunt, Pauline Gratien, and nephew, Jon Thompson all of Melbourne, FL. Also aunt and uncle, Robert and Marilyn Behnke of Clay, NY, aunt, June Brown of Syracuse, NY, aunt, Margaret Lucas of Pennelville, NY, aunt, Marjorie Smith of North Syracuse, NY, and aunt, Norma Santi of Camillus, NY; stepdaughter, Christine Klos, her husband, Darryl, and their children, James and Matthew of Cheektowaga, NY.
Her passing will also be mourned by all her cousins and their families who have always stayed in close contact, and whose love and friendship were a source of great joy to her.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to express their sympathy by considering [sic] Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice, 8060 Spyglass Hill Road, Viera, FL 32940, or to the charity of their choice. Arrangements by locally owned and operated Atlantic Mortuary, Rockledge, FL.
