Loren O. Rogers, son of James L. and Melvina Ellen Rogers, was born June 1, 1896, at Powersville, Missouri. He passed away at his farm home south of Palco, Kansas, February 20, 1971, at the age of 74 years, 8 months and 19 days. Loren moved to Rooks County with his family in 1905. While here he met and married Miss Ella Adamson on August 10, 1914. To this union three sons and two daughters were born: one daughter having died in infancy. Mr. and Mrs. Rogers celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary in 1964. These years were spent farming in the Palco area. Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Ella; one daughter, Mrs. Rita Ray, El Dorado, Kans.; three sons, Floyd of El Monte, Calif., Dallas Rogers of Caldwell, Idaho, and Merle Rogers of Plainville, Kans.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services were held Wednesday, February 24, 1971 at the Church of the Nazarene, Plainville. Interment was in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
