Peter Schwinn Of Cleveland Is Called To Rest
Peter Schwinn, 73, retired farmer of route 1, Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday morning at the St. Nicholas hospital after a lingering illness. He was born on April 30, 1872, in Washington county.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter J. Schwinn, deceased. He attended parochial school and later worked on farms in the surrounding area. He was married to Mary Wolf on Jan. 24, 1899. The couple bought a farm in Town of Herman and operated it up until 1934, when it was sold to a son, Ed Schwinn. He made his home on the same farm.

Survivors include his wife; six children, 28 grandchildren, two sisters and a brother. The children are: Ed on the homestead; Paul of Cleveland, Mrs. Taylor Wagner of route 1, Newton; Mrs. Joseph Scheidt, Cleveland; Mrs. Ray Gries of Cleveland, and Mrs. Ed Klein of Sheboygan. The sisters are: Miss Johanna Schwinn and Miss Agnes Schwinn and the brother is Albert Schwinn, all of Newburg.

Two sons preceded him in death in infancy and a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Schallue, of Manitowoc, died in 1939.

The deceased was a member of the St. Wendel Catholic church and the Holy Name society. He was also a member of the St. Joseph's society of Newburg.

The body was taken to the Nennig Funeral home in St. Wendel, where funeral services will be held at 9:30 a. m. on Saturday and at 10 o'clock at the St. Wendel Catholic church. The Rev. Joseph Schaefer will officiate and burial will be made in the family lot at the church cemetery on 22 Dec 1945.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7:30 p. m. today until the time of services. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 8 p. m. on Friday.
