Mrs. Catherine M. Scheidt, 77, of 647 Westview, Cleveland, Wisconsin, died early Monday morning January 20, at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Wednesday at St. Wendel Catholic Church, Cleveland, preceded by family rites from Kroos-Mason-Redtke Funeral Home, Sheboygan, at 9:45 am. Burial will follow at ST. Wendel Cemetery.
Mrs. Scheidt, nee Catherine M. Schwinn, was born April 25, 1908, Town of Hermann, daughter of the late Peter and Mary Wolf Schwinn. She attended school at St. Wendel. She married Joseph Scheidt on May 3, 1927, at St. Wendel Catholic Church. The couple farmed in rural Cleveland area from 1927 to 1956. Mr. Scheidt preceded her in death February 3, 1969. Mrs. Scheidt was employed at Tecumseh in New Holstein for seven years, retiring in 1973. She was a member of St. Wendel Parish, Christian Mothers Society, Senior Citizens of Cleveland, Jolly Time Club and the Cleveland VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include four sons, Joseph and Eugene, both of Cleveland, Adrian of Kiel and Earl of Sheboygan; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two brothers, Edward and Paul, both of Cleveland and a sister, Mrs. George Schroeder of Sheboygan. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a granddaughter, two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Kroos-Mason-Redtke Funeral Home, Sheboygan after 4 pm Tuesday. A parish rosary vigil will be held at 8 pm and Cleveland VFW Auxiliary Memorial service at 7:30 pm. Memorial fund has been established in her memory.
