Savanna, Ill., May 14. — Edward C. Ready, 52, governor of Savanna Moose lodge, died suddenly from a heart attack yesterday afternoon in the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy railroad yards where he was on duty as a car inspector. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Law funeral home. Rev. Russell Gable, Oak Park, will be made in Savanna cemetery. Mr. Ready was born in Lancaster, Wis., Aug. 2, 1896, and lived in Savanna for 25 years. He was a veteran of the first World war. Besides his wife he leaves five sons and five daughters. Four sisters and two brothers also survive.
