George Louis Ready passed away July 16, 1980 at the Memorial Hospital in Prairie du Chien, WI. He was born December 15, 1893 in Grant County, WI., to George Flora and Nettie Phoebe Mae (Cook) Ready. He married Lydia Granzow, daughter of William and Angeline Granzow of Eastman, WI. She passed away in 1969. George farmed in Crawford County all his life.
George was survived by four daughters, Iona Halverson, Viola (John) Jones, both of Prairie du Chien, Arlene (Leon) Bubka, Delores (Oliver) Oswald and one son Milton Ready of Janesville, 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
His siblings included; Emma Bohringer, Grace Eichel, Ada (Duluth) Pieper, Glee (Stanley) Clifton and Ethel, Edward, Alvin, Archie and Harry Ready.
