Joseph was originally buried at St David's graveyard in Manayunk. His body was moved to Leverington Cemetery and buried in January 1869 after his parents bought this plot when their daughter Lillian died.
From a newspaper clipping:
Collins- on the 12th inst, Joseph Sutcliffe, son of Thomas and Ann Collins, aged 2 years, 4 months and 23 days.
Sad are our hearts, and sad our home,
since our dear Josey's gone;
But, oh, a brighter home than ours
In heaven is now his own.
He died in beauty like a rose,
Blown from its tender stem;
He died in beauty like a pearl
Dropped from some diadem.
