Collins- On the 22d inst, Annie Virginia, the youngest daughter of Thomas and Ann Collins.
Once we had a fragrant blossom,
Full of sweetness, Full of love;
And the angels came and plucked it,
For the beauteous realms above.
Little Annie was our darling,
Pride of all the hearts at home;
But the breezes floated lightly,
Came and whispered "Annie come".
Tearfully we lowly laid her,
"Neath the grass that grew so green,
And the form of gentle Annie,
in our home no more was seen.
Days have past and still we miss her,
And our hearts throb not with glee,
When we think of little Annie,
Who on earth no more we'll see.
Oh sweet Annie when we meet thee!
In the joyous realms above,
Gladly we will haste to greet thee,
Filled will be our hearts with love.
