It is not clear exactly when she married Wellington Brown, as no marriage record has been found. The 1900 U. S. Census states that the couple had been married 10 years at the time of the census, suggesting that they were married in 1890. What makes for a curious situation is, Wellington Brown was in a relationship with Maud's first cousin, Alice Mae Gardner (daughter of Maud's Uncle John Henry Gardner), which resulted in the birth of Alice's son LeRoy George on 25 Mar 1890.
Maud and Wellington's first child, a son, Earl D. was born on 9 Apr 1895. Unfortunately Earl passed away from Spinal Meningitis at the age of 5 months and 6 days. Maud and Wellington's second child, a daughter, Mona was born on 23 Oct 1896. She was joined by their third child, a second daughter, Daphne (also known as "Tab") who was born on 4 MR 1904.
According to the 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930 U. S. Census', family lived in the Dyer Brook, Patten, Merrill area. At times the family shared their home with Lodgers, and other times, just the immediate family. By the 1940 U. S. Census, Maud and Wellington are alone, as both their daughters are married and living with their own families.
Maud passed away on 8 Feb 1949 in Searsport, Waldo, Maine. She was buried in Dyer Brook Cemetery, between her husband Wellington, who passed away in 1943 and her infant son Earl D.
